Does not work for ipad what a real shame

Really made driving the island a blast. Must have for visitors as you get local insights and lots of secrets about farmers markets, smoothies, and health food stores -- especially which days are preferred! We loved this and would recommend it to anyone visiting the island -- works really well with Audio books.

Works intermittently at best. Gives about 10 seconds notice when approaching a turn for a road or site (a few times as we were passing the site). Didnt work at all on return trip from Hanalei.

The app is ok but it does not provide anything that you couldnt get with google maps and a guide book on beaches. the most useful part of the guide is the beach breakdown, as it points out better places for leaning to snorkel, snorkeling and places where you shouldnt swim. The app is full of useless information that is somewhat randomly organized. I also believe that some of the so-called shopping complexes may have paid for advertising, as only certain ones are mentioned (without any distinguishing reasons). Finally, the app does not make use of the GPS feature, as it does not provide any helpful directions or parking suggestions.

Used it for two days driving around Kauai. Did not come on very much. Not very informative. Guide book would have been more helpful.

Fantastic app! It looks like they managed to find every possible event/activity/beach you can go to on the island. They have a picture of every beach and every hike! The map is extremely helpful and easy to use. Love it. Im so glad I got this!

Found very limited information. Could not get map function to work even when other GPS & internet based programs worked. Not very good at finding things in the area of the island where you were traveling.

The talking guide is not as chatty as we expected but overall a very neat concept and great resource. Map showing guide points and beach details was very useful. Hope to see similar for other islands as well (Maui please!).

Has a lot of information and pictures in static form. However, "live" explore option doesnt work for me. Turning on localization service to drive around puts me off the African coast and is useless. Save your money and avoid if you want the explore/guide function. Fortunately, my other maps/gps apps work fine.

I bought this app for our trip to Kauai, it worked great.. Driving around and you hear an interesting tidbit about the area, beach and city... It was very interesting. A must have for anyone traveling in Kauai...

I live on Kauai and loan my phone to friends who visit. I dont have to explain where things are. This app sells iPhones! Well done.

Sorry to say this app is useless if you own an iPad Wifi. It says its compatible, which is why I downloaded it, but my iPad doesnt even show an icon. My iPad is synced, the icon shows up in my iTunes account, but no icon on the iPad. Please tell me what Im doing wrong. I leave for Kauai in one hour!

This app is great! A MUST HAVE for visiting Kauai!! I love it and have used it for 2 days already to find all important sites without hassle!

I wish this was more like their Maui app but this app allowed us to rent a car and drive the island at our own pace, stopping when and where we wanted. We had a great trip with this apps help. I would suggest you take a car charger since the iPhone battery will wear down before you get across the island and back.

My husband and I LOVED this app. Used it out first time to the island and helped us scope out the coolest places to go and see. An absolute must for any first time visitors!!!!

If youre going to Kauai this app is very helpful. Does what it claims.

This app was well worth the money. As you drive, it points out many areas of interest that we would have never known about.

My husband and I went to Kauai on our honeymoon. Before hand, we did all kinds of research and had basic list of what we wanted to do on the island. Along our way to planned activities, this app would tell us of various points of interest and we made several unplanned stops. It has fun facts about movies shot on the island, info on historical events and helpful bits like where to park for access to a secluded beach. Parts of the island are very lush and the roadway can be curvy. Watching for mile marker signs that are green in color against a background of green vegetation can be challenging. Plus, street-names can all sort of look the same if you are new to the Hawaiian language and alphabet. The GPS guide tells you when to turn to see sights and lets you just enjoy the spectacular views without straining to see and spell-out street signs.

This made my solo vacation easy to navigate and directed me to locations I would have otherwise missed. A must have for a Kauai trip!

We spent a week on Kauai with the kids and this app both helped in planning where to go (e.g., which beaches are good for snorkeling) and helped us enjoy the island when we were there. By activating the audio as you drive, the app is like having a tour guide in the car. The information was timely and interesting. We learned a lot just by driving around and listening. Best of all, it does not repeat information when you visit the same place twice. How awesome is that? We had friends who visited at the same time but did have the app. We were constantly telling them some of the interesting information the app had told us on the journey. 5 enthusiastic stars!!
